Nation Cyber Security Awareness Month

Vincennes University Information Technology students launch a new website to raise awareness about cybersecurity. The website launch is an initiative to support NCSAM. The month of October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) which is an annual campaign to raise awareness about cybersecurity.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) is a campaign to engage and educate public and private sector partners through events and initiatives to raise awareness about cybersecurity.

The website, a collaborative effort with the Vincennes University MIC Department is designed to give VU Students tips on how to stay safe and remain secure while online. Assistant Professor of Information Technology Greg Hirsch, and the Vincennes University Cyber Security and Support Degree students will be holding informational sessions on-campus throughout the month of October to provide students with additional resources and information on security.

"The Internet of Things impacts our daily lives more than ever before. Information Technology students have to be equipped to help educate the public about how to protect themselves and their organizations against cybercrime. We are proud to be a NCSAM Champion." Jaci Lederman, Assistant Professor of Information Technology
